  • Bonnie:

We finally got fed up with the connection issues. Watching our Outlook status repeatedly show “Disconnected” or “server not available” multiple times throughout the day… and the resulting internal complaints to our IT staff because of this got to be too much. We ended up switching to Hostway but are having a bad experience with them also. Is there a decent Exchange Host our there?

  • It took literally 5 hours for a mobile device to be configured and start receiving emails. And for the limited 48 hours I used their service before cancelling, I received constant “server not available” errors in Outlook as well as the OWA client. Their support was polite but that doesn’t change the fact their Exchange offering is VERY unstable.

The new company I signed up with had everything configured and working within 15 minutes. I am an IT professioanl with extensive Exchange experience and these issues were on their end and had nothing to do with client settings or my internet connectivity.

  • Darian:

I am with SherWeb since Exchange 2007, so almost 4 years ago. I remember a few problems at the beginning. However, we have agreed to continue the experience and now we regret nothing. SherWeb technical team has been working hard. We have migrated to 2010 exactly 6 months ago and it is still faster. I have employees across the country and even in Europe and never they do complain of slowness. By visiting this site for a friend, I was surprised to see the comments below. I wonder if they are true and if it is coming from real customers. Are you on Exchange 2007 or 2010? If 2007, hurry to migrate to 2010, you will not regret it!

  • Cody:

Simply the worst customer support I have ever experienced. We had a partial loss of service due to their 3rd party vendor’s spam filtration and their solution (after more than a week of no response or communication other than my having to call them) was to turn off the filter entirely. We are leaving SherWeb, and I can not in good faith ever recommend anyone use them.

  • Kirk:

Everything is going really well with SherWeb. I was an Exchange 2007 customer and I have just migrated to 2010, thanks to their professional migration service.

I often contacted their experienced technicians in the past as they are easy to reach and know their stuff. About the migration, the team they built is full of resources and the migration guide is explicit with just enough details.

Exchange 2010 servers are quite fast, more than expected! BlackBerry sync is perfect and the migration was smooth, no data lost.

I was really happy to signed up for their 2007 service, now I am more with my last move to 2010! Thanks!!!

    For simple email like:

  • Rob:

I have used 2 other Exchange hosting providers. Although Sherweb is responsive and has a decent control panel, their email servers are SLOW and they deny that there are any issues

  • Dave:

OK, I upgraded to Exchange 2010 and things are going well.

I still get the Outlook Not Responding message sometimes when I first start going through my Email, but if I wait about 20 seconds to let it connect it seems to do fine after that.

I would like to change my review below, but do not see a way to do so.

  • Scott:

Good experience. Constant improvements in customer service tools. Power of Microsoft hosted exchange at a low monthly cost.

  • Dave:

I could copy and paste the issues I am reading about below. DELAYS WHEN SENDING SMALL EMAILS, OUTLOOK CAN’T CONNECT.

I need to go through my Emails fast and waiting 20 seconds to send a simple Email is not an option for me.

They really do not know why this is happening so I am looking for another hosting provider.

  • Tom:

SherWeb is #1. Please update your Top 10 Rank :)

Sales rep. helped me select the best Exchange package for my needs and at that time they had a 1 month free promo.

Technician support me even if their server was not the cause while configuring my Outlook. I believe if they have a real issue the Team will be awesome in resolving. Thanks!

  • Sherweb is a fantastic hosted exchange provider. I would recommend it openly.

  • SherWeb’s sale representative are awesome on the phone. They were really sympathetic, they didn’t tried to sale me things I didn’t needed and were really good with more thecky questions about the migration.

  • Bob:

Same problem since July! DELAYS IN SENDING OUT EMAIL RESULTING IN POP-UPS FROM OUTLOOK THAT IT CAN’T CONNECT. Tried to get technical support, but got run-around. If it doesn’t get fixed, I’m leaving.

  • Orlando:

Sherweb is an awesome provider. Im satisfied of my choice , 1 quick outage when i signed up but since then … no downtime in 3 week.

  • Erick Molina:

Like Bob below, I’ve experience slowness for simple one liner emails and disconnects when hitting send. I’m looking for alternatives which is why I’m here.

  • Bob:

Lately their e-mail has been very slow. It is not uncommon for it to take 30-40 seconds just to send an e-mail. While this doesn’t happen all the time, it is frequent enough to be more than a minor annoyance. The error that pops up is that it is trying to contact their specific e-mail server.

  • Paul:

Sherweb Pre sales were wonderful to recommend a custom tailored solution to my business. On top of the normal service , Sherweb was able to do some Custom Exchange transport rule to optimize their service to match my needs , simply fantastic !

  • Andrew:

We are using sherweb as a replacement for office 365 product where we were with microsoft before. Sherweb Sharepoint , Exchange , and OCS is really great. I got setup in a heartbeat and i would recomment Sherweb to whoever host their application in the cloud for their business. Great service , great technical support.

  • Andy:

We have a over 100 mailboxes with SherWeb as part of their prestige program and the service exactly meets our needs.
Support is fast and yes sometimes there are issues but they are quick to getting resolution.

  • Bob:

Been using them for all of 6 months and have had more than one outage and several days of very slow and intermittent email on Hosted Exchange 2010 over the last few days due to storage related problems. Feel compelled to look for alternatives now.

  • David Kirk:

The hold time to get a tech is so long at times you can fall asleep waiting on some one to answer and the first one you speak to is a screener that enters the case and then you get placed back on hold till a tech can answer. I have waited as long as 30 minutes to get to a tech. Then they have issues that knock you out of getting emails and it takes forever for them to recognize they have an issue. I have to say because of them I have thought about paying someone to manage an exchange server in house.

  • John Nicholas:

I have been with SherWEb for several years and I’ve been fairly happy with it. They provided me with good support and the pricing is fair. I don’t see any reason to change.

  • TheWeb:

Tech support is good. Although you need it a lot in the beginning. And they are only good once they actually get around to doing something.
Main reason why I hate them is an integrated link alteration. Every link you click in your mails is logged by them. “For customer support only.” Well I am not paying for spying on me, assholes.

  • Barbara Maynard:

I recently migrated to SherWeb when they bought Dna mail. Simply put, I’ve been hardly able to work since the migration. First my email was down for a day, then once it was up, it was So incredibly slow that it’s nearly unusuable. I’ve timed the average to be 40 seconds to open and email and 60 seconds to toggle between email and calendar (in Outlook Exchange). Also, all tasks for the past two years, nearly all of which were deleted…thousands!…were brought back over as unfinished. This is a nightmare. And the customer service has been the worst I’ve ever seen. When I asked the rep what he could to to fix the task problem, he said “what do you want me to do about it?” I’m getting out of here as fast as I can find another provider (hopefully tonite). I warned them that I would write this but they didn’t seem to care. This Is The Worst Company I Have Ever Encountered!!!

  • BeyondtheTech:

The last month proved to be the last straw for my clients. They had downtimes for both their Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 setups that stretched intermittently across several days, effectively putting their customers at a dead standstill.

All I saw were apologies and incompetence on their Twitter feed and their System Status page, and when I was able to get through to talk to them, they couldn’t give anyone an ETA, blaming it on Microsoft updates.

  • Snowflake's Mom:

Sherweb has been our provider for 5 years. Their service is up and down. For the most part, it’s been OK. I love the fact that support is provided from Canada from knowledgeable technicians who know what they’re talking about and aren’t just reading a script (which is all you’ll get if you choose The support people are generally able to debug and fix fairly complex issues compared with other support departments I’ve dealt with.

But they don’t seem to be all that good at debugging their own IP infrastructure when issues arise. They’ve had several outages in the past 2 weeks, and the explanations of what went wrong keep changing. Evidently, they don’t know what the problem is. I wonder if their engineers are maybe lacking some of the experience dealing with the cloud infrastructure in which they provide their service.

They’re also pretty bad with Blackberry support. I had so many problems that I finally dumped the blackberry and got an iphone based on their recommendation that it was easier to support and debug.
